PUMP EXPRESS REVVING UP FOR 2012
We had a good year in 2011, bucking industry trends that showed disappointing results for many retailers. Pump sales were strong and our service and repair divisions outperformed expectations. On the basis of progress in these areas, Pump Express will invest in greater efficiency and diversification in 2012.
Increasingly recognized as the go-to supplier for pumps and replacement parts in the Northeast, all Pump Express stock, order fulfillment, pricing and warehouse management activities will be streamlined by a new high-performance inventory and data management system. Our customers will benefit from the resulting gains in efficiency through reduced costs and even better service.
We will also stock a larger and more diverse line of pump motors. Our fledgling motor division will go from a small ancillary division of Pump Express, to a stand-alone entity called Motor Express, stocking products by U.S. Motors, Leeson, Marathon, AO Smith, Lincoln, Baldor, Weg and other quality manufacturers.
Stay tuned for news on the motor start-up and other new initiatives in the coming months. We’re looking forward to continued success in 2012, which will mark year-six for Pump Express.
