PUMP EXPRESS JOINS PENTAIR’S CLASS OF 2012
There were no caps and gowns but the Pump Express team did receive certification upon completing the two-and-a-half-day Pump School that Pentair Water conducted at ourBergenCountyheadquarters this week.
Training specialist Bill Corey led a two-day session that focused on the design, sizing, installation and maintenance of Meyers, Berkeley and other quality Pentair pumps.
“We want our customers to understand how the pump works so that they can troubleshoot it themselves,” said Cory. “Sizing is one of the main things we teach so that way it’ll be easier to pick the right pump the first time. If you take the time to learn how to size a pump then you’ll know how to toubleshoot.”
The training was a team effort on the part of Pentair staff, culminating in a briefing on key features and new products led by Senior Sales Rep Bill Beyer.
PUMP EXPRESS REVVING UP FOR 2012
We had a good year in 2011, bucking industry trends that showed disappointing results for many retailers. Pump sales were strong and our service and repair divisions outperformed expectations. On the basis of progress in these areas, Pump Express will invest in greater efficiency and diversification in 2012.
Increasingly recognized as the go-to supplier for pumps and replacement parts in the Northeast, all Pump Express stock, order fulfillment, pricing and warehouse management activities will be streamlined by a new high-performance inventory and data management system. Our customers will benefit from the resulting gains in efficiency through reduced costs and even better service. Read More …

Falling leaves and temperatures mark the start of heating season along the East Coast. Boilers and heating systems that lay dormant all summer get fired up and only the most conscientious and lucky facility engineers and property managers meet with blazing success. Often the initial jolt to the system results in seal leaks, failures, or total equipment breakdown.
“Just remember: no pump, no heat,” says Pump Express General Manager, Ed Drejman. “All hydronic heating systems need circulation to keep the heat on and the hot water moving. If your pump is not maintained and checked before each heating season, your chances of having a failure are greatest.” Read More …
